How Heat Pump Water Heaters work:
Hybrid water heaters rely on a system that transfers heat from the surrounding air into the water, similar to the way a heat pump heater works, or you can also think of it as a reverse process to the way your refrigerator works.
So, instead of generating their own heat, they rely on transferring outside heat into the water. This is why they are also called ‘heat pump water heaters.’ The process goes something like this:
The outside air warms the refrigerant until it becomes a gas ———————->
The compressor squeezes the gas and thus increases its temperature ————————>
The hot gas enters the condenser coils in the tank and transfers its heat to the water ————————>
When the refrigerant cools to a liquid, it travels outside the tank to be reheated, and the process repeats
This allows hybrid heaters to have up to 400% efficiency

One day, after I had recent experiences with bad employees, I walked into a Discount Tire and watched a young hire run from the bathroom back to work, and I thought: “This is the drive and motivation I want in my employees. I want my company to break the stereotype.” During these years, I also had many experiences researching water heater companies and was surprised at how much they charge.
